Smoke free at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust
Since March 2006, smoking has not been permitted in the buildings or grounds of Airedale NHS FoundationTrust.
The whole of the NHS became no smoking during 2006 as part of the Government's campaign to improve the health of the nation.
There's a range of support on offer:
- Support and help is available from the Local Stop Smoking Service, please contact Sue Wilson, Senior Stop Smoking Specialist on 01535 295320
- Or you can call the NHS helpline on 0800 022 4 332 or visit Smoke Free or NHS Choices Stop Smoking
- And if you need any more incentive to kick the habit, did you know the average smoker spends £92,000 in a lifetime on cigarettes, that cigarette smoke contains toxic's like arsenic and cyanide and that breathing secondhand smoke kills 12,000 people in the UK every year?
- It's your health and your hospital, so let's beat this thing together
