Theatres and Endoscopy Open Day

Date: Saturday 12 May 2012
Venue: Theatres and Endoscopy departments, Level 1, Airedale General Hospital
Time: 11.00am to 3.00pm

Try your hand at being a surgeon or a nurse using state-of-the-art equipment during a family open day at Airedale Hospital. Staff from the endoscopy unit have joinied forces with the hospital’s theatre team this year to provide a behind-the-scenes look at how they operate. The event includes a chance to use surgical and camera equipment, speak to specialist nurses for health advice and visit a host of displays.

Wednesday 20 June - 6.00 pm to 7.00 pm (free refreshments available from 5.30 pm and meet your Governor drop in session from 5.30 pm to 6.00 pm)

Focus on … Banishing bugs

Wednesday 18 July - 6.00 pm to 7.00 pm (free refreshments available from 5.30 pm and meet your Governor drop in session from 5.30 pm to 6.00 pm)

Booking

Places are free, but do need to be booked in advance either by telephone on 01535 294540 (24hr answerphone) or via email at members@anhst.nhs.uk with your name, event date and the number of places you would like. Please book early to avoid disappointment. 

Venue and Directions

All ‘Focus On….’ events take place in the Lecture Theatre in the Education Centre, Airedale General Hospital, Skipton Road, Steeton, near Keighley.  All 'Meet the Chairman' events take place in the Board Room in the Education Centre. The nearest car park is the West Car Park and the nearest entrance is the Education Centre Entrance.  If you need any assistance or have any special needs please let us know when you book your place.

Parking

Parking will be free for the events.  Please request a parking permit and provide your address when you book your place and we will send you a free permit before the event.
