Translating research into patient care
Patient and Public Engagement and Experience (PPEE)
At Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, we want to be sure that everyone in our local community, who is using or who may use our services, has absolute confidence that our services, care and treatment are completely patient-centred.
Whilst, we recognise that it takes time and commitment to build relationships with our local community and gain its trust, we want to be sure that the views of patients, carers and community representatives are at the heart of all the Trust’s planning and service development.
To achieve, this we are actively engaged with staff to:
- Proactively seek patient opinion and ensure patients and the public feel comfortable to express opinions concerning their experience
- As a matter of course, involve patients and the public in care, treatment, planning and decision making
- Ensure patient and public engagement and experience (PPEE) is integrated into all aspects of planning at an early stage and when decisions are being made about the services and facilities we provide
- Provide feedback to those patients and the public who have engaged with us about what has improved or changed as a result of their involvement and comments
- Ensure PPEE is embedded at all levels of the organisation
But most importantly, we need you – patients, carers, relatives, Members, Governors, or interested members of our local community – to help us and GET INVOLVED.
