Swine Flu

This section of the website contains important information to help you and your family understand more about swine flu.

The symptoms of swine flu are broadly the same as those of ordinary flu and in some cases can cause more serious complications. Symptoms include a sudden fever leading to a high temperature of 38 degrees or over and at least two other symptoms including:

  • sudden cough
  • headache
  • tiredness
  • chills
  • aching muscles 
  • limb or joint pain
  • diarrhoea or upset stomach
  • runny nose
  • sneezing
  • loss of appetite
