Advice for visitors
For a full list of our Ward Information and visting times click here
If you are visiting friends or relatives at the hospital you are reminded to:
- use the hand wipes provided at the main hospital entrances and the hygienic hand gel on entering and leaving wards
- visit only between the hours of 2 pm to 4 pm and 6.30 pm to 8 pm and have only two visitors per patient at any one time
Please do not visit if you have symptoms of:
- coughs, colds or flu or flu-like symptoms
- vomiting and/or diarrhoea and it is less than 48 hours since you have been symptom free
- any infectious conditions e.g. chickenpox, mumps, etc
- if you have been in contact with anybody with any of the above
Please do not bring children in to visit who are under 16.
Please do not bring in prepared food or drink and do not eat or drink on the ward.
If you ring the ward to ask how your relative is we must always ask what your relationship to the patient is as well as ask their permission before we can give out any details on their condition and treatment.
For a list of the direct numbers for the wards click here.
Because our nurses are busy we ask, where possible, for one relative to ring the ward and pass the information to friends and family.
