19 July 2010 - HOSPITAL DIRECTORS' REAPPOINTMENTS

Jeff Colclough and Sally Houghton have both been reappointed as Non Executive Directors of Airedale NHS Foundation Trust. 

Jeff and Sally were both originally appointed as Non Executive Directors of the Trust, which runs Airedale General Hospital near Keighley, in February 2006.  They have both been reappointed for a further two years from 1 February 2010 to 31 January 2012.

Jeff has over 25 years DTI experience both in the UK and overseas and was for seven years Chief Executive of Business Link.  He currently runs his own business and management consultancy firm and is Chair of Yorkshire Forward ICT Business Group for Digital 20/20.  Sally is a qualified accountant and has over twenty years experience in multi- national manufacturing and engineering companies, some of which is at Finance Director level.

They will both receive a remuneration of £6,096 per annum.

The reappointment has been made in accordance with the Commissioner for Public Appointments’ Code of Practice.

All non-executive appointments are made on merit and political activity plays no part in the selection process.  However, in accordance with the original Nolan recommendations, there is a requirement for appointees political activity (if any declared) to be made public.  Both Jeff Colclough and Sally Houghton have declared no political activity and do not hold any other ministerial appointments.
