7th November 2011 - Thinking of a career in the NHS?
Budding nurses, midwives and therapists and will have the chance to put their questions to a range of senior health care professionals at a free careers evening event at Airedale Hospital.
A team from the Bradford University School of Health Studies will be on hand at the hospital to talk about a range of NHS careers including nursing and midwifery, physiotherapy and occupational therapy as well as radiography and health and social care. There will also be a group of student ambassadors on hand to answer any questions and give their insight into a career in the NHS.
The talk, on Wednesday 23 November at 6.00 pm, will take place in the Lecture Theatre, in the Education Centre, at Airedale Hospital and will also cover student finance.
The event is open to anyone, whatever their age, who is interested in a career in the NHS. Places are free, but do need to be booked either by telephone on 01535 292727 or via email members@anhst.nhs.uk.
Free refreshments are available 5.30 pm – 6.00 pm in the board room and there is also an opportunity to drop in and meet public governors and give your opinions on healthcare in your area during this time.
The talk is one of a series of events Airedale NHS Foundation Trust is organising to encourage people in and around the hospital to become more involved in its work. Talks are organised monthly and cover a range of subjects and all are free.
