However, as with other types of insurance, companies often have different policies offering different levels of cover; some policies might have an excess others will have specific exclusions either because of the nature of the policy or because the policy holder has a pre-existing condition which is excluded from their cover.
Consequently, it is always advisable to check your insurance cover at the earliest opportunity; most companies will provide pre-authorisation so that you know in advance that the costs of your treatment have been approved. With your permission, our team will be pleased to help by speaking on your behalf to your insurers, your insurance brokers or your employers.
Provided that we have been able to confirm your insurance cover in advance, in most cases insurance companies will settle our invoices directly so you don’t need to be concerned about sorting out the finances.
If you are not insured and want to know how much you will have to pay prior to your treatment we can give you an approximation if you know what treatment you are likely to require; once you have seen a specialist we will be able to provide you with a written quotation which will stay fixed so long as the treatment you require doesn’t change.
