14 February 2017 – Outpatients car park closed for one week from 19 February
The Outpatients car park at Airedale Hospital will be closed for a week from Sunday 19 February.
The car park – officially known as car park P1 – is the smaller of the two main patient and visitor car parks at the hospital, located near the Outpatients department. It will be closed for a week to allow essential works to be carried out as part of the installation of the new car parking barrier scheme. The big P3 West car park will remain open along with the parking spaces immediately in front of Outpatients.
“We are closing the car park to carry out building and electrical works,” explains project manager Richard Burgin. “The week of 20th February is half term for Bradford schools, and we traditionally see a lot less traffic on site during school holidays, which is why we’ve chosen this week to close it. We apologise for the disruption and advise anyone visiting our Outpatients department to leave a bit longer for parking and walking to their appointment. Patients can of course continue to be dropped off outside Outpatients”.
Wheelchairs will be available at the zone C/West entrance for anyone who needs assistance to reach Outpatients from the P3/West car park.
