Come and join master baker, Mike Armstrong, at his live bake off master class and help to raise money for Airedale Hospital’s Emergency Department Appeal.

Local baker, Mike, will be giving a live baking demonstration plus offering a chance to taste his award winning breads at the event on Mother’s Day – Sunday 15 March – between 2.30pm and 5.30pm at Laycock Village Hall.

Tickets for the event cost £10 which includes a free gift, and are available by contacting Jodie Hearnshaw, charity fundraiser at Airedale Hospital on 01535 294870, or by email to jodie.hearnshaw@anhst.nhs.uk

Meg Crossley, consultant in emergency medicine at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, said, “We are all really looking forward to the event as the money we raise will go towards our £100,000 appeal target to help fund state-of-the-art equipment to improve care for the thousands of local people.

“We have raised around £40,000 so far, which is a fantastic achievement but just because the new unit is now open doesn’t mean we have stopped fundraising.”

Attendees to the event will also have the opportunity to bake and decorate six of their finest cupcakes to the theme of their choice; these will be auctioned off at the end of the event, with all proceeds going to the appeal.
