Airedale Choir sends positive Christmas message
Staff members from across Airedale NHS Foundation Trust have come together to record a medley of festive songs, to cheer their colleagues, patients and community this Christmas.
Unable to record together, the group had a couple of Zoom rehearsals and then recorded themselves individually singing their parts. The audio and videos were edited together to create the Christmas offering, which is on YouTube: https://youtu.be/i-S29C5IF3A
The choir’s musical director and specialist speech and language therapist Steph Burgess said: “Singing with the hospital choir is a wonderful opportunity for people from all over the Trust to come together to create something special. We are doctors, nurses, midwives, therapists, pharmacists, medical secretaries and managers from communications, procurement and IT, and we all gave up our own time to rehearse and record ourselves.
“It’s been an incredibly difficult year for everyone in the NHS and we hope that our singing will send a message of positivity and love this Christmas to all who work in, care about and benefit from the NHS.”
