Freedom To Speak Up Month – a message from our Chair, Andrew Gold

Posted on October 5, 2021 by AireAdmin

It’s so important that everyone in the Trust feels able to speak up about what they feel about any work related matter.

Similarly it’s essential to hear and respect the views of colleagues, especially those that may differ.

As Chair of the Trust’s Board, I do all I can to demonstrate that approach at meetings of the Board and the Board Committees as well as the Council of Governors.

In instances where colleagues are not being heard, say any changes agreed do not happen, the Trust Board continue to have direct access to Kate Bell in her role as FTSU Guardian at the meetings of both People Committee and Board. This reflects the Trust Board’s total commitment to a speaking up culture.

Everyone has a voice and a view, we should always all feel able to speak up; listen up with follow up where necessary.
