The operating theatres at Airedale hospital will be opening their doors for the public to look behind the scenes at the ever popular theatres open day.
There will be fun and education for the whole family and a chance to meet the people behind their masks on Saturday 13 October, 11am-3pm.
Find out how the body works, have a go at fixing broken bones and discover the equipment used during surgery. For anyone interested in working in the NHS, there will be careers information available.
A tombola and other fundraising activities will be taking place, and any money raised will go towards improvements in the theatres department including wall murals to create a more welcoming environment for children.
Everyone is welcome and the event is free, just turn up on the day. Enter the hospital through the education centre (building 18) where the team will meet and direct visitors to the operating theatres (location B5).
