Hello,¬† my name is Sharon and I’m the lead technician system support and service improvement.

How did you get to where you are today? What made you decide to do what you do?

I was involved in the project to introduce electronic prescribing and medicines administration (EPMA) into the Trust, this progressed to me becoming the lead in electronic systems within pharmacy as the department and its processes become more automated.

What do you enjoy about your job?

I enjoy my role as I can be involved in all areas of pharmacy using the electronic systems rather than specialising in one area.

What do you enjoy about working at Airedale?

I have worked at Airedale for 16 years and enjoy that, when working on different projects within my role I become involved with other professionals within the Trust and maintain good working relationships with them, which can help in future projects. When walking around the hospital it is good to say hello to people I have met during my time here.

What do you do outside of work?

Outside of work I am a mum and a grandma and enjoy spending time with my family. I also enjoy yoga and walking.
