School pupils donate Christmas presents to hospital
Pupils from Cononley Primary School brought Christmas cheer to elderly patients at Airedale hospital.
Friends of Cononley School parent teacher association asked pupils to buy presents for patients who are in hospital over the Christmas period. Dozens of gifts were bought, wrapped and delivered to patients on ward 10 last week.
Mrs Catherine Pickles, head teacher, said, “The children, parents and carers at Cononley Primary School were very keen to donate gifts to ward 10 at Airedale hospital. We hope that the gifts will help the patients have an enjoyable Christmas.”
Louise Hofman, sister on ward 10, said; “On behalf of all the patients and staff on ward 10, I would like to thank the pupils and teachers at Cononley Primary School for the time and effort they have put in to bringing Christmas cheer to the ward. You’ve made a real difference this Christmas!”
