12th March 2014 – New online advice service from Alzheimer’s Society
Alzheimer’s Society already offers a national dementia helpline for people living with dementia and their carers on 0300 222 11 22.
Now they have launched a new live online advice service on their website. This offers an alternative way for people to talk in confidence with a trained adviser.
The online service is available Monday to Friday 9am to 12pm. When an adviser is available, the sign on the website will say ‘Open’!
You can get information about all types of dementia. You can also ask questions about:
- local services and support;
- staying independent;
- financial and legal matters;
- caring for someone with dementia;
- changes in relationships and behaviour;
- community care;
- long term care.
