Knit and natter groups
Members of staff Jo Ogden and Sara Robinson are encouraging people to make Twiddlemuffs as an eye-catching distraction for patients with dementia.
They are recruiting local ‘knit and natter’ groups to make the bright coloured muffs for those who may benefit from them.
The Twiddlemuffs have already been piloted on ward 9 and proved to be a success, they can help to settle patients with dementia down and can also provide a source of stimulation and distraction.
