Please note that breakfast in the Café T’Aire restaurant is served until 11am and lunch is served until 2pm.  The tea time menu runs from 4 to 6pm and food is available all day (until 6pm).

There are two shops at Airedale Hospital which are open to staff, patients and visitors. They are located in the outpatients department (Zone A) and main entrance (Zone C). You can purchase sandwiches, snacks, hot and cold drinks, newspapers, gifts and basic toiletries. Run by volunteers, all profits go to one of the hospital’s charities.  The shop opening times are:

  • Outpatients shop: Mon-Fri, 8.00am-4.00pm

  • Main entrance shop: Daily, 10.00am-4.00pm and 5.00pm-8.00pm

Cooked meals and snacks are available from the restaurant, open Monday-Friday 7.30am-6pm, weekends 7.30am-3pm.

The cash machine is located in the corridor next to Haematology and Oncology Day Unit above the main entrance in Zone A. You can also use the cash machine to top up your mobile phones. Free to use.

There is a payphone and direct lines to taxi companies close to the main hospital entrance (Zone C).

A post box can be found close to the main hospital entrance (Zone C).

Baby Changing Facilities

Baby Changing facilities are located across the hospital as follows:

  • Day Hospital for the Elderly (location D1)

  • Restaurant (location C30)

  • Outpatients Department (location A1)

  • Restroom facilities next to the Chapel/Prayer room (location C2)

Hearing loops

Hearing loops are fitted to the reception desks in these areas:

  • Maternity Assessment Centre (location B8)

  • Labour Ward (location B17)

  • Postnatal Ward (location B18)

  • Neonatal Unit (location B19)

  • Ward 17 Children’s Unit (location C20)

  • Child Development Centre (building 15)

  • AIRE Unit (location D15)

  • Pathology (location C46)

Overnight accommodation

Accommodation is provided, subject to availability, for relatives of hospital patients to rent on a nightly basis if required at a cost of £27.50 per night.

If you’re a visitor and you’d like to stay in the accommodation, you should speak with a member of nursing staff or contact the accommodation office on 01535 294531 (Monday-Friday 8am-4pm).
