Palliative care Hospices

There are three hospices which can offer you support at any stage in your illness. They offer admission for help with difficult symptoms, emotional problems, rehabilitation and terminal care. They also offer day therapy and bereavement support. The hospices can provide you with information booklets, and arrangements can be made through your doctor or nurse for a visit to show you around and explain their services.

Hospice at Home Services

Airedale Hsopice at Home Team are based at Airedale Hospital. This team works alongside existing community services to provide nursing care and welfare benefits advice to Airedale residents towards the end of life.

Bradford Hospice at Home Team are based at the Marie Curie Hospice. This team works alongside existing community services and out of hours service to provide nursing care towards the end of life for Bradford residents.

Marie Curie Nursing Service works in Bradford, Airedale and Craven districts to complement existing services. The nurses are able to provide periods of nursing care in the home, day or night. This service can be arranged via your district nurse.
