Zero Tolerance statement

Our people come to work to care for others, and it is important for all members of the public and the people
who work for us to be treated with respect. We expect our people to demonstrate the highest standards of
behaviour in carrying out their duties and responsibilities. We aim to treat our patients respectfully at all times
and expect our patients to treat our people in a similarly respectful way.

We are committed to providing our people with a safe and supportive environment, which does not tolerate
unacceptable behaviour, bullying or harassment of any kind. We expect all our people to treat each other with
dignity and respect and demonstrate behaviours which are in line with our Trust Values. We take seriously any threatening, abusive or violent behaviour against any of our people or patients. We will not tolerate any form of discrimination or abuse against anyone based on a characteristic such as age, disability, gender reassignment, marital or civil partner status, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.

Where a patient, relative, member of the public or employee behaves in a way that is allegedly violent,
threatening or abusive way towards a member of our workforce, Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, AGH
Solutions Ltd, Immedicare and Integrated Pathology Solutions will take action, including involving the police
where appropriate.

We hope that you welcome our zero tolerance approach, which is in place to protect the interests of our hard-working people as well as all the patients we serve.

Signed on behalf of Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, AGH Solutions Ltd, Immedicare and Integrated Pathology Solutions colleagues:

Andrew Gold – Chair
Brendan Brown – Chief Executive Officer
