The Guardian of Safe Working Hours is in the terms and conditions of the Doctors in Training employment contract.
The role was created to protect patients and staff themselves from significant fatigue and to provide assurances and recommendations where needed to the Trust. This is done at Airedale via quarterly reports presented at People Committee and an annual report presented to Public Board.
