Our New Digital Hospital

The Securing the Future programme provides a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to build a new Airedale General Hospital, which will provide a safe, modern environment that’s fit for the future.  

As one of the Wave 1 hospitals on the government’s New Hospital Programme, our new hospital will be built using Hospital 2.0 design principles, which you can read about here. This also means we are well positioned to influence and contribute to the development of future hospital standards and digitally enabled care environments.

We are now moving into the next phase of our design development, and as part of this we are carrying out early market engagement. This will allow us to explore how innovative digital technologies and integrated solutions can support the delivery of Hospital 2.0 objectives, particularly around the move to providing care in single en-suite patient rooms.
