Audiology patients invited to feedback event
The audiology team at Airedale Hospital are holding a special event next week (24 Jan) to give their patients a chance to have their say about the service.
The event is for adults who wear a hearing aid from the hospital’s audiology service and has been designed to give patients the chance to play an active role in how the department is run. The event is on:
Thursday 24th January 2019
Seminar Room, Education Centre, Location B12, Airedale Hospital
Katie Davenport, Senior Audiologist at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust says:
“It’s the first time we have ever done it we want to try and get some feedback, for example on patient leaflets and to get our patients’ opinions on how we run their department. We are open to suggestions and will see what our patients want from it as well, we can arrange speakers if that’s what people want. It’s really important to get our patients’ feedback rather than us just saying this is what we think should happen, we want to hear from them.”
Places have to be booked so if you would like to come along please book your place by 20th January by contacting the department on 01535 293646 or emailing Katie.firstname.lastname@example.org . Refreshments will be provided.
The team are aiming to set up a similar group for their paediatric patients in the near future.
