The Ladies Please choir from Menston have donated £500 to Airedale’s cancer unit from money raised at their Christmas concert.
At Christmas the choir held a concert and raffle, and chose the cancer unit at Airedale as their charity. Three members of the choir came to Airedale this week to present the cheque, which was gratefully received.
Pat Dyminski, lead clinical nurse specialist for haematology, oncology and chemotherapy at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust says:
“We’re really grateful for this generous donation which we will use to update equipment on our unit at Airedale as well as on the mobile cancer unit. Thank you to the choir for raising money for us.”
Ladies Please is a 24 member four part harmony ladies’ choir which formed in 2004. Over the years they have raised over £10,000 for different charities.
