Your voice. Your hospital. Your difference.
Could you help make Airedale even better?
We’re looking for volunteers to take part in our 2026 PLACE assessments and we’d love to hear from you.
Whether you’re a patient, visitor, carer, Foundation Trust Governor or simply someone who wants to support their local NHS, this is a great opportunity to have your say and make a real difference.
PLACE (Patient-Led Assessment of the Care Environment) brings together members of the public to look at things that matter most to patients, including cleanliness, food, privacy and dignity, accessibility, and the overall care environment.
You’ll join a friendly assessment team, spend a few hours looking around different areas of the hospital, and share your observations and ideas for improvement. The feedback gathered helps identify what’s working well and where we can make changes to improve the experience of patients and visitors.
Why get involved?
✔ Make a genuine difference to patient experience
✔ Have your voice heard
✔ Learn more about your local NHS
✔ Meet new people
✔ Receive training and support
✔ Travel expenses reimbursed
No previous experience is needed, just a willingness to get involved and share your views. Training will be provided before the assessments take place.

Get in touch with the PLACE Team at:
