Local people have been responding in their hundreds with their views on the latest plans for work to prepare for the new Airedale hospital. And Airedale NHS Foundation Trust is sharing answers to the questions being asked on their website, which also includes more information about plans to date.
Frequently asked questions asked include:
- How many entrances and exits will there be to the car park?
- Will the existing access road be kept?
- How much noise and light will there be from the electricity substation?
- What sort of trees will be planted and how will they be maintained?
The Trust is currently working to get the site ready ahead of developing the plans for the actual hospital and is asking for feedback on key parts of the project, including a new multi-storey car park, an access road, and an electricity substation.
Earlier this year, local people were asked for their thoughts on the car park design, and many of the suggestions they made have been included in the plans. On 18 November, as initial plans became available, a second phase of feedback began. Roadshows have been held in local venues, there has been a programme of door knocking at homes surrounding the hospital, and there is an exhibition in the hospital entrance and a survey.
There is still time to take part – the exhibition finishes on 13 December and the survey closes on 16 December.
The exhibition of the plans is on display at Airedale General Hospital until Friday 13 December at the drop off and collection entrance 3, Zone C. This entrance is just to the west of the Outpatients entrance (drop off and collection entrance 2).
People can give their feedback through an app, by email, or by filling out the survey.
