We have many opportunities here at Airedale, where we are home to services including Haematology, Gastroenterology, Anaesthetics, Paediatrics, Diabetes and Urology. You will work amongst highly skilled, multidisciplinary teams whose main focus is to provide innovative, patient centred, first-class care, every single time.

Our Haematology department treats anaemia, acute and chronic leukaemias, lymphomas, myeloma, myeloproliferative disorders, myelodysplasia, thrombosis, thrombophilia, and thromboprophylaxis in pregnancy. Could you step into a small and close-knit team who deliver a range of treatments that you might not see in a larger service?
Our team of passionate colleagues build strong relationships with our patients in this department and it’s an interesting environment to learn in. We work closely with Bradford Teaching Hospitals when we need to, so there’s a bigger support network available.
Gastroenterology is the branch of medicine that looks at diseases of the oesophagus (gullet), stomach, small and large intestines (bowel), liver, gallbladder and pancreas. Members of our small team each find their niche – so it’s possible to choose your path with us in this department.
You’ll work with very modern endoscopy equipment and see people from lots of different backgrounds. There are multiple opportunities for teaching and training and our research is very active. Take an opportunity for research or active recruitment into clinical trials and publications. We’ve also good links to the wider gastro networks across West Yorkshire.
Our ACSA-accredited service is made up of a dedicated team of generalist Anaesthetists and Intensivists who cover the full range of major anaesthetic specialities as well as Critical Care medicine.
We are a busy training unit and have an active fellow programme. During our accreditation process, we were praised by the RCoA for our team communication, simulation training and Specialty Doctor career development including support for CESR application.
