What you tell us about taking part in research

NIHR Participant Research Experience Survey

The NIHR Participant Research Experience Survey also collects the views and experiences of adults and children who participate in research studies supported by the national portfolio.

Here are just a few of the responses we have received from research participants at Airedale:

“The researcher was very clear about what it was all about and how we would go forward. There was no pressure at all.”

“I gained tremendous value from the ‘Wise’ experience. The physiotherapist who worked with me was extremely helpful, sympathetic and encouraging. The exercise explanations given were very helpful, much more so than reading an exercise leaflet because you felt you carried them out correctly. In addition the regular appointments allowed for answering queries I may have had and more importantly kept me focussed on completing and continuing the exercises!“

“The procedure was explained to me in terms that I understood, I have always been treated with courtesy and respect.”
