Radiography
About us
Our radiographers work as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside, sonographers, consultant radiologists, nurses, radiology assistants, clerical staff, student radiographers and porters.
Our radiographers perform a variety of examinations from routine X-Rays to more complex intervention procedures with services including:
- DXA scanning
- Computerised Tomography (CT)
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
- Mammography
- Ultrasound
We also have Advanced Practitioner Radiographers in plain film reporting and enhanced practitioners working in different specialities and two clinical educators in the department to support apprentices, undergraduate, and post graduate students.
90% of patients that come to our hospital will use our services so we work alongside many other teams throughout the Trust including the Emergency Department and Theatres.
Our radiography services are offered at Airedale Hospital, Skipton General Hospital, Keighley Health Centre and Ilkley Coronation Hospital.
