Professional background
I qualified as a registered nurse in 1996. I am proud to say I have worked at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust for the duration of my career.
My background is Surgery. I have worked on general surgery, women’s surgery and gynaecology surgical wards. I completed my degree in adult nursing during this time.
I have always been interested in cancer care. In 2014 I had the opportunity to work and then train as a breast clinical nurse specialist.
This has led to opportunities to undergo further training and education in breast cancer. This has helped me support Patients who have been diagnosed with breast cancer guiding them through their diagnosis and treatments
