Professional background

I started my career as a Healthcare support worker in a 40 bedded residential home after my passion to care for people and strive in my own career I undertook several NVQ’S in customer services alongside, NVQ’s in leadership and management with these qualifications I became a senior carer and then was successfully appointed to be the deputy manager, very eager to learn and take on new challenges.  I was inspired by the Local District nursing team to go on and undertake my BSC Hons degree adult nursing, which is where my professional career then qualified as a Registered Nurse in 2013, I spent 3 years across elderly wards, 1 year with acute elderly admissions and 2 years on a Community Intermediate Rehabilitation ward.  I then transferred into the hospital for 2 years on a Day Surgery Ward undertaking a dual role; leading a clinic on women’s health and working as a Patient Liaison Nurse with Child Safeguarding. 3 years with Craven District Nursing team, as a Specialist District nurse practitioner, then District nurse Team Leader and an Independent and supplementary prescriber.
