My nursing career started at Airedale Hospital in 1986 where I completed adult general nursing followed by my first job in older peoples care. In 1992 I qualified as a Midwife at Airedale and took up a post as a dual role Community Nurse and Midwife in the Craven area. I have focused my career in community nursing with the addition of the District Nurse Specialist Practice qualification and Advanced Clinical Practice.
I have worked as a Community Matron and Community Advanced Clinical Practitioner with the collaborative care teams before I returned to responsibilities in leading teams and services within the Airedale Wharfedale and Craven area. In 2018 I was awarded the title Queens Nurse.
