Professional background
My name is Trudy Balderson and I am the Head of Community Services. I qualified as a Registered Nurse at St James’s University Hospital in Leeds in 1982, a Registered Midwife at Airedale General Hospital in 1985 and a District Nurse Specialist Practitioner in 1988 before embarking on a career as a dual role District Nurse/Midwife within the Craven Community. I have led and managed a wide range of Community Services since 2002, and joined Airedale NHS Foundation Trust in 2011 with an MSc in Managing Health and Social services. I am a qualified Coach, have recently completed training as a workplace mediator and am proud to have been awarded the title of Queen’s Nurse
