Specialist rehabilitation assessment clinic – SRAC

This is a weekly specialist multidisciplinary team clinic, where patients with rehabilitation needs are assessed by the specialist rehabilitation team including doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and specialist nurses.

High standard of othotics, mobility support and specialised seating services also are an essential part of the rehabilitation services for management of long term conditions at Airedale Hospital. The rehabilitation department is also supported by the neuropsychology department for management of psychological issues associated with various neurological conditions.

Spasticity management clinic

Spasticity is a common problem after brain and spinal cord injuries. Various methods are utilised for management including medications, Botulinum Toxin Injections and Itrathecal Baclofen as well as attention to posture and seating. The clinic is held twice a month and is consultant led with the principle neuro-physiotherapist.
