Critical Care Unit (ITU, high dependency, coronary care unit)

The critical care unit at Airedale hospital is made up of fifteen beds. These are for the care and treatment of acute and critically ill patients who require cardiac, respiratory, renal and other organ support. This includes patients who may have had a heart attack, need to be ventilated, are recovering from major surgery or have kidney failure.
The unit is divided into three areas; the intensive care unit, the high dependency unit and the coronary care unit.
The medical and nursing staff are highly trained and endeavour to deliver the highest quality care at all times.
