Our Services and Facilities
DXA Scanning
At Airedale the DXA scanning suite is located in the Day Hospital, not in the main Radiology department.
Mammography
At Airedale mammograms are taken in the mammography department which is in the radiology department at Airedale Hospital (location A14).
Ultrasound
An ultrasound scan uses high frequency sound waves to produce a diagnostic grey scale image. Sound waves pass into the body via a transducer (ultrasound probe) and are reflected back. The ultrasound machine then converts the reflecting sound waves into a real time image.
