- Operating Department Practitioners
- Occupational Therapists
- Physiotherapists
- Speech and Language Therapists
- and other HCPC registered AHPs who work in extended roles or untraditional roles.

Background / Profile
Freya is an Occupational Therapist by background, qualifying in 1994.
Freya studied at the University of Northumbria and stayed initially in the North East to work in mental health settings.
Moving back to East Lancashire, Freya worked in a range of physical acute, community and rehabilitation settings in children and adult services before specialising clinically in Neuro rehabilitation.
Freya managed a range of therapy services before moving to Airedale in 2015 where she was appointed to the role of Service manager for adult services.
In October 2022, Freya won the national CAHPO award for AHP Leadership for Equality Diversity and Inclusion. Freya is a strong advocate for inclusion and co-chairs the staff network for people with disabilities and long-term conditions – Enable.
In November 2022, Freya was appointed to her current role as Chief AHP.
Freya is passionate about recognising and promoting the impact that AHPs have on the lives of patients and people in the community and amplifying the voice of AHPs.
Freya is also a qualified coach and enjoys coaching colleagues across the Trust.
