Professional Background

Mr Cruickshank graduated from University of Leeds Medical School. He undertook specialist Orthopaedic training in the Yorkshire deanery. Following this he completed two prestigious knee surgery fellowships at Harrogate and Royal Derby Hospitals working with leading surgeons. Through his fellowships he gained expertise in knee surgery including sports injuries, joint replacement and arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery using modern techniques.

His specialist interest lies in all aspects of knee surgery, including soft tissue (ligament, meniscus, cartilage) and joint replacement, both total and partial knee replacements. He also has a particular interest in patella (kneecap) disorders.

He has written and contributed to peer reviewed publications, book chapters and presented nationally and internationally.
