Area of responsibility
Joanne was appointed Joint Chief People Officer on 4 June 2026 and takes a pivotal role in putting our people at the centre of the Trusts strategic ambitions. Our people and organisational development practices support the Trust to attract and retain dedicated NHS colleagues, continuously develop their skills and knowledge, in a supportive culture. This is a key enabler to the Trusts delivering their strategic ambitions of supporting our people to thrive and flourish and in turn deliver high quality services for our local population.

Background / Profile
Joanne has over 20 years’ experience of working in Human Resources and Organisational Development, in both the private and public sector. Joanne’s previous roles include: Deputy Director of Workforce and Organisational Development; Interim Executive Director of Workforce and Organisational Development; with other HR and Operational management roles across the NHS, service sector and retail. Key skills include the development of people centred practices, health and wellbeing initiatives, workforce planning and strategic Human Resources management.
