Professional background
I qualified as a midwife in 2009, and spent the start of my career working at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. I moved to Airedale NHS Foundation Trust in 2019. I spent my time working at Bradford being a rotational midwife, gaining skills in all areas of the midwifery service. Prior to qualifying as a midwife, I worked as a community maternity support worker, which cemented my enthusiasm to pursue a career in midwifery.
Over the years I have developed a passion to work on the antenatal and postnatal ward setting and enjoy seeing how the ward evolves over time to meet the ever-changing needs of our service users. As ward managers both myself and Caroline strive to provide a pleasant and supportive stay for women and their families during this important time.
