Professional background
I am the Head of Midwifery and Nursing for women’s, children’s and specialist services and have been in post since April 2018. I have worked at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust since 2009 and was a community midwife, providing antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care for women. I then became the antenatal and newborn screening coordinator in the maternity unit and developed the services in antenatal screening. I have progressed my career throughout my time at Airedale Hospital and have managed the antenatal clinic and maternity assessment centre, labour ward and postnatal ward. I have been a maternity matron which then led me to become the head of midwifery. I have a passion for providing safe and effective services for women and their babies and have a desire to continue to shape our services that are reflective of our populations needs.
The trust has a caring and compassionate workforce who are equally dedicated to the services for our families. I am very proud to be part of such a wonderful team.
