Michael Smith was the head of employee health and wellbeing at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust and is currently Divisional Directors for Women’s, Children’s and Specialist Services. He also has previous operational management experience across a number of organisations including Airedale. The combined experience of these roles has provided him with a very good understanding of the issues facing staff across numerous groups and this knowledge allows him to articulate their views in a professional and constructive manner through the Council of Governors to the executive team. Michael cares about the future of the Trust, the people it employs and the services the Trust provides for its local community and visitors to the area.
