Professional background
I studied for my Pharmacy Degree at Sunderland Polytechnic and then undertook my pre-registration training at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary. After working as a rotational pharmacist for two years at York District Hospital, I started working at Airedale.
Over the years, I have undertaken a variety of roles within the pharmacy department, with my current role allowing specialisation in paediatrics.
After completing a Master of Education degree, I became more involved with teaching. As well as pharmacy staff, this includes training for nurses, medical students and medical staff. I also have an additional role as an Assistant Professor in Pharmacy Practice at the University of Bradford.
Having spent over 30 years working at Airedale, I feel privileged to be working with such wonderful, caring teams of staff, who are passionate about providing excellent patient care.
