Professional background

I am the Lead Pharmacist at Airedale Digital Care Hub and have been in post since March 2022.

Previously, I worked at NHS East Lancashire Clinical Commissioning Group and was professional lead for the Specialist Medicines Optimisation in Care Homes Team and Medicines Optimisation Pharmacist Lead Pharmacist.

Prior to that I was a senior lecturer practitioner developing multi-professional Non-Medical Prescribing courses.

I have worked in general practice since 1998, advising GPs and practice staff on safe management of medicines and implementation of national guidance.

I have progressed my career acting as National Non-Medical Prescribing Advisor, membership of NICE Guideline development groups and chairing NICE Group Managing Medicines for Adults Receiving Social Care in the Community.

I have a passion for supporting services and clinicians to provide safe and effective medicines management for older people living with frailty. I have a desire to continue to shape services that meet the needs of the most vulnerable of our aging population with safe person-centred holistic care.

Immedicare Telemedicine Hub has a compassionate expert clinical workforce who are equally dedicated to the services for care home residents. I am delighted to be working at Airedale with this innovative and caring team.
