Professional background

I became the Senior Sister on the Endoscopy Department in November 2020.  After working in different areas in the Netherlands and England, I settled in Leeds and worked in both St. James’s and Leeds General Infirmary. I have gained experience on different medical and surgical wards including Gastro Enterology and Dermatology/General Surgery and the High Dependency Unit for Orthopaedic and Plastics.

I came to Airedale General Hospital in 2009 and worked on the Intensive Care Unit for several years before I made the switch from ward-based work to departments. I became a Junior Sister in the Cardiac Catheter Lab but after 7 years decided to apply for the post on the Endoscopy Unit.

I am very proud to work on the Endoscopy Unit, we are a JAG accredited unit, which means we provide the highest quality of care to our patients. We have a very friendly, knowledgeable team of doctors, nurse- endoscopists and nurses who work hard to deliver excellent care to our patients.
