The outpatient fracture clinics are a consultant-led service that is supported by a large multi-disciplinary team ensuring that patients receive the best orthopaedic trauma care available. Patients are usually referred to fracture clinic, by Accident & Emergency staff or via electronic referral from GPs and First Contact Practitioners (FCP’s).

Fracture clinics are located at Airedale General Hospital, Location A1.

We have a dedicated team of clinical nurses who help the fracture clinics run smoothly. Within this clinic patients will often have an xray, some may require a wound assessment. We have a committed team of plaster technicians who apply casts or removable splints and walker boots to help injuries heal correctly. We do our best to run to time, however patients should be aware that clinics can be delayed due to complex cases and the volume of people who need to attend.
