Welcome to the Upper Limb Unit at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust.

The Upper Limb Unit is a well-established service consisting of three surgeons specialising in Shoulder and Elbow conditions plus two surgeons specialising in Hand and Wrist conditions. The unit aims to deliver excellent surgical care and rehabilitation for patients with upper limb pathology, underpinned by evidence-based medicine. We are a close-knit team that work collaboratively with specialist physiotherapists and other colleagues to ensure that patients receive a multi-disciplinary treatment approach. There is a strong emphasis on research within the unit and we are involved in multiple local and national research trials. We also collect our own data regarding patient outcomes via the amplitude patient reported outcome system.
