Appointed on 15 June 2026, Zubair is a highly experienced GP and senior NHS clinical leader, heading towards 20 years’ experience, currently holding system level leadership roles within Greater Manchester ICB.
Zubair’s career includes roles as a Primary Care Quality and Transformation Clinical Lead and Prescribing Lead within the Greater Manchester ICB, alongside long standing work as a locum and out of hours GP. Zubair has extensive experience in clinical governance, quality improvement, and has also held a board level role at Blackburn College & University Centre, providing independent oversight and assurance. Zubair also held university lecturer and clinical tutor roles, contributing to the development and assessment of future clinicians.
